First Annual Midwife Lobby Day! May 2nd, 2024. 11 am to 2pm

We are so excited to announce our first annual Midwife Lobby Day at the capitol. Join us for a day of midwifery advocacy and lunch with our legislators. We need you! Whether you are a midwife, doula, a family we have served, or just simple passionate about safe birth in Arizona we invite you to join us! To ensure the day goes smoothly please RSVP right away. Lunch will be provided!

The day of the event you will head to the Capitol, park in the big lot in front of the Capitol and look for our registration table outside on the lawn between the House and Senate. There we will check you in, give you your very own purple Arizona Community Birth Coalition (ACBC) T-Shirt and direct you to the room where the lunch is held. It is so important we all wear our purple ACBC shirt to create a huge visual impact and statement to legislators on the day! We kindly ask for a small donation of $5 towards the cost of your shirt but if you can't swing that we have you covered! Let's make a big impression together!

We will gather info from you so that we know which District you live in, and who your legislators are, and invite them to come on your behalf.  Legislators are far more likely to attend our event if they know they have constituents present and requesting them to come and we need as many legislators present as possible to spread the word about our issues and mission as far and wide as possible!

Here is how the day will flow:

• 11 am - Registration, mingle, and lunch with our legislators

• 1 pm-  Our group will all head to either the Senate or House floor where ACBC will be introduced as invited guests of our sponsoring legislators.
